sigfiground(x, sigfigs=4)[source]#

Round number(s) to the specified number of significant figures.

Parameters:

x (int/float/list/arr) – the number(s) to round
sigfigs (int) – number of significant figures to round to

Examples:

sc.sigfiground(3.28343) # Returns 3.283
sc.sigfiground(834_875, 5)  # Returns 834880
sc.sigfiground([3.28343, 834_874, 0, -83_742], 2) # Returns [3.3, 830000, 0, -84000]
